Yeah. eBow with glass slide is my current weapon of choice.

That was pretty cool. Cinematic. Eno loves the e-bow. :P

I liked it. Maybe the crash is a little loud? What do I know? It's a good song, excellent work.

This is really lovely. Nice work.

Here's my entry for last week's Eno class homework. The theme of the week was digital detox. The prompt was to write a simple protest song, like classics from Woody Guthrie, that the people can sing. I may not fully fulfill those expectations. But it’s simple. And acoustic.

This Golden Age

i see a cleaner air, it feels so fine
i see a brighter love, and feel its shine
i see a lesson here, and it may seem
i see how everyone, might have a dream

you see a golden age, clearly not mine
you serve an empty glass, instead of wine
is there a golden rule, that fits your crime
you see what's good for me, hasn't a time

i see a playground that's, playful and joyful
i see this everywhere, drank by the cupful
i see an opening, i feel its welcome
i see connections here, and feel its hopeful

Speaking of protest songs, here's one from 25 years ago (around 9-11) that seems to have become timely again. It's a Squirrels in the Attic collaboration. I was never sure about the structure, and I've messed with it here, probably for the worse. It could be just A B C A B C A B C.

I was thinking of updating the lyrics for the current situation. Alas, my main co-lyricist Rick is no longer with us (although "They rattle their sabres and we all cower" was Shawn's). But does the song have enough legs to bother with new lyrics?
